Malawi Mzuzu

Roasted light, this has a nice crisp acidity like you'd expect from a washed African, and as expected due to the geographical proximity, it's similar to Zambian coffeess I've had. At this American / City roast level, it's good straight for those who like bright coffees. Otherwise, it would make a good high note in a blend.

Taken into the first snaps of second crack, the acidity mutes quickly and is replaced by chocolate notes, and even a bit of caramel in the nose. It's well balanced, and good all by itself here at at this degree of roast.
As an espresso component, it would be good in the 15%-20% range.

I haven't tried it yet as a vienna roast, but suspect it would also stand on its own here for those who like a bit darker roast. I bet it would also work here as a larger percentage of an espresso blend, say 20%-30%.
